Meet our new flatmate, Phillip, seen here relaxing in his pint glass. Seems the mice have heard what a good place this is and are trying to muscle in.

After being startled by Phillip in the kitchen a few nights ago he set out to apprehend the beast and has apparently been successful! Aw isn't he cute? Bet he's the one that's been eating my socks.

I'm all for humane solutions. To this end I am constructing a miniature electric chair.
Actually I believe Lee has already released him into the wild. Very wise, as according to many stories I've read, one day Lee will be in dire need and a mouse will come to his aid.
Phillip -- what a good name for a wee mouse. I hope the socks you feed him are good socks, James -- proper quality and all :-)
Had a rat hanging around outside on the terrace when I lived on the ground floor [it buggered off when, eventually, I stopped putting food out for the birds] -- used to call him Walter. That's a good name for a rat.
We had mice - they can pass through a hole 6mm in diameter! that's approximately the size of a pencil!
We poisoned the little buggers!
;)
Well I've just heard from Lee that ANOTHER mouse has been spotted, so it's not over yet. Guess it's inevitable with the pet supply shop below us.
Update (not for the squeamish): Lee was making himself a round of toast and tea. He went out of the room for a minute and came back to find the toaster emitting a cloud of smoke and an unusually savoury smell... yep, seems one of the little fellas had discovered the goldmine of breadcrumbs in the base of the device. Ew.
Toaster is now in the bin.
EEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!
Dave, it's something about their skull being kind of 'rubbery' isn't it? Like their skeleton isn't 'hard' but bendy.
I am not making this up. My next door neighbour told me last week as we saw a mouse on her terrace. It dissappeared into a tiny hole in the wall.
I once saw a mouse with clogs on.
Where? you ask?
On the stair, A mouse clogs on......
It went clip clippty clop on the stair
Well I declare!
